Junior Prep Celebrates World Eco Days: Earth Hour Day and World Water Day.

On Friday the children in the Junior Prep were given stickers to remind and encourage them and their families to switch off their lights for an hour on 19 March. They adopted the motto: ‘Switch off for Earth Hour, Shine a Light on Climate Change’.

Today, 22 March, the children are supporting World Water Day. They have dressed in blue and white and have donated bottles of water. These bottles will go to people in South Africa who do not have access to water and who are struggling with the drought.

The same water that existed on earth billions of years ago still exists today. However less than 0.007% of that water is available to drink. We have a serious world-wide water shortage and live in a very thirsty world. Today the Junior Prep is focusing on ‘Water for All’.
