Junior Prep Annual Golf Day

September 30, 2022 | Junior Preparatory

On Wednesday 21 September the Junior Prep hosted its annual Golf Day at Bryanston Country Club.

Excitement was in the air as the first group of golfers arrived for registration. The event organizers and staff from the Country Club were there to welcome One & All.

While waiting for the rest of their team members, they took the opportunity to polish up their golfing skills on the putting green, while some headed to the driving range. Many spotted their friends from other teams and decided to head to the restaurant for a catch up.

When the time came for the players to head to their first hole, they were met and escorted by the friendly caddies who helped them get their things together and head out.

It was wonderful to see familiar faces from last year and new faces this year. The support from the different campus departments was very much appreciated.

There were delicious treats along the way courtesy of the different sponsors, which added to the fun atmosphere of the day. The hole that the golfers were most eager to reach was the ‘Hole in One’ where they stood a chance of winning a fantastic prize if they were successful.

After all the golfing was done the players got a chance to unwind, relax and get ready for the evening’s proceedings.

Chris Forest was the MC at the prize giving and he did a great job of making sure that the evening went smoothly. Games were played and fun was had. Speeches were made by the Junior Prep Head, Gayle Harris, along with one of the evenings major sponsors, Armoured Mobility.

Food and laughter flowed, followed by the prize giving and auction of the amazing prizes from our generous community.

A day like this takes a lot of planning. We would like to thank our Junior Prep PTA, especially our Chair, Tshepiso Radebe-Rikhotso, Lindsay McGarvie, Barbara Beauchamp and Olga Carr for all the hard work that went into the planning of this event.

We are so excited to transform our Library and would like to thank all our generous sponsors for the prizes and donations made towards the Golf Day. From the bottom of our hearts Siyabonga kakhulu.
