Grade RR Nativity

December 02, 2022 | Junior Preparatory

Last week Thursday the children were ready and excited to tell their Nativity story. Angels, frogs, ducks and sheep were some of our happy characters. The stage was set with hay bales and fairy lights, with the manger holding baby Jesus was the focus. From elves placing gifts under the Christmas tree to the donkey leading Mary and Joseph along, all of the children had a role to play. We wondered what we would find in our Christmas stocking: maybe 3 sticky sweets and a cold mince pie? The children sang songs in different languages and invited our Grade RR parents to join in with Ukhisimusi omuhle (We wish you a Merry Christmas). It was a memorable and festive occasion, and the children gave their all in the actions and songs. After the concert they merrily skipped away with a juice and a Christmas tree biscuit. Our concert was really a special way to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
