GP have wonderful dancers

Olivia Davies won the Gold for all 4 of her ballet solos at the Eisteddfod of Performing Arts last week and was awarded trophies for Best Overall Ballet Winner for her age group as well as Best Ballet Improvisation for All Ages. Megan De Oliveira won the Gold for her modern solo and the Silver for her classical ballet solo. Erin Brammer won the Bronze for her demi-character ballet solo. 

 

Olivia and Megan won the Gold as well as the trophy for Best Neo-Classical Duo/Trio for their ballet trio and First Place and the trophy for Best Modern Duo/Trio for their modern trio. Olivia, Megan and Erin won group trophies for their ballet and modern groups. Erin and Khanyi Nkulu performed in a demi-character ballet trio that won Gold and a trophy. Olivia, Megan, Erin, Khanyi and Lily Van Huysteen danced in the winning Modern Jazz Group 14 Years and over. Olivia, Megan, Erin, Khanyi, Emma Fraser, Hannah Jansen and Tegwen Oates all performed in a ballet group that won Gold and a trophy for Best Junior Ballet Production.

 

At the American Dance Awards South African Championships, Olivia Davies won 3 Ultimate Golds and 2 Golds and came second in the overall Junior Solo Dance Off. Megan De Oliveira won 2 Ultimate Golds and 3 Golds and Erin Brammer won 3 Golds. Olivia & Megan's ballet trio won Ultimate Gold and the overall Junior Duo/Trio trophy and Olivia, Erin and Megan's modern group won Ultimate Gold and the Overall Junior Group trophy. They have qualified to compete at the national competition in New York next year.
