Friendship starts in loving hearts

This week we launched our second Fruit of the Spirit: ‘Love’. The fruit associated with Love is the strawberry.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as we celebrated Friendship Week and Valentine’s Day.

The children were very excited to wear their red/pink/white civvies to school. Many fun activities were planned in the different grades. The Grade R children went up to the dam to have their Teddy Bears’ Picnic. The Grade One boys and girls received surprise letters of love and affirmation from their parents. The teachers sat with each child and read their letter to them. The look of delight on their faces as the teacher read was priceless. The Grade Two children made Friendship Ladybugs and brought small treats for each other.

Love and laughter was seen and heard all over the Junior Prep, reminding us of the words of Mother Theresa: ‘Spread love wherever you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.’
