Diversity

Leading up to Diwali, Girls' Prep students had an opportunity to share what Diwali is. 

This is an excerpt from their introduction : 'Diwali is also known as the festival of lights.  It is celebrated by millions of people around the world.  The word Diwali comes from 'deepavali', meaning 'row of lamps.'  It is traditionally celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs.'

The girls were dressed beautifully and addressed the school with so much pride.  They shared a cultural dance which showcased their amazing talent.
