Congratulations to Kagiso Rabada, who matriculated from Saints in 2013, and was a member of the SA U19 team that won the World Cup in Dubai on Saturday 1 March 2014.He produced outstanding performances throughout the event, particularly when it really counted in the semi - final and final. Kagiso, who opened the bowling, devastated the Australian top order in the semi - final and set up SA’s win with superb bowling figures of 6 for 25.He followed this up in the final with figures of 1 for 29 in 10 overs, removing Pakistan’s senior batsman early in his spell.

He played almost 100 matches for the Saints 1st XI, represented South Africa U19 against England in 3 Tests, 2 One Day Internationals and toured India in 2013.

The Boys’ College is particularly proud of his achievements and look forward to welcoming him back to the College on Friday 7 March. Kagiso will present the 20/20 Lions trophy, won by the Saints 1st XI last Friday, to the 2014 Captain. Kagiso represented the Saints 1st XI in last year’s Franchise finals in Stellenbosch and it is particularly pleasing that the team has qualified for the event for a second year in a row.
