Jozi-Jo: the musical is the 2015 St Stithians College major production. It has been specially written by the Girls’ College Cultural Director, Peta Hanly. The musical tells the story of a resourceful orphan (Jozi) and a rather spoilt school girl (Jo) who meet and make friends in extraordinary circumstances. As their friendship evolves, they learn rather more than expected when they come into contact with the ingratiating Mama Jackie, the kindly Lulu and some sinister gangsters in downtown Johannesburg. Despite a number of obstacles, Jo and her friends successfully manage to produce a talent show that provides much needed financial assistance for Jozi and her orphan friends.

The show includes songs by Bruno Mars, Simple Plan, Pitbull, Black-eyed Peas, Kanye West, MGMT and many more. With a live band, lots of singing, dancing and drama, this production is certain to appeal to the whole family.
