Celebrating our Heritage in the Junior Prep

September 20, 2019 | Junior Preparatory

On Friday 20 September the Junior Prep was buzzing with excitement as the children arrived at school dressed in their cultural clothes. The boys and girls were eager to show off their attire to their friends and explain which culture they were representing. The children brought food representing their heritage to school to share with each other. During the morning the children attended a drumming and gum boot session which was great fun. They were ecstatic to learn how to dance, showing great determination to master the steps. The teachers put up the flags of the countries of the world in the Dace Hall and the children had to find the country they were from and stick their photo under the flag to make a bar graph. It was a truly fantastic day in the Junior Prep!
