The annual Grade 2 Barn Dance was a heartwarming and lively celebration that brought together students and parents for an evening filled with joy and connection. Dressed in their finest cowboy and cowgirl outfits, complete with hats, boots and big smiles, families arrived ready to embrace the spirit of the occasion. The Dace Hall was beautifully transformed into a festive, country-inspired space, buzzing with excitement from the moment the first song began.

As the music played, the dance floor quickly came alive with a variety of fun and energetic routines. From lively line dancing to the much-loved ‘Chicken Dance’, and from partner dances to the ever-popular Hokey Pokey, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Children beamed with pride as they danced alongside their parents, while laughter and cheers filled the room, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Beyond the dancing, the evening provided a special opportunity for families to connect, unwind and simply enjoy time together. It was wonderful to see friendships strengthen and new memories being made, both on and off the dance floor. The shared joy between parents and children made the event truly meaningful, reminding everyone of the importance of community and togetherness.
