Aitken And Boden Hockey 2026

This past weekend, St Stithians College was proud to host the prestigious Aitken Hockey Tournament once again, one of the most respected and fiercely contested school hockey events. It was a memorable weekend of hockey, with high-quality competition and strong support from the sidelines.

We celebrate with pride our 1st Team’s outstanding campaign, culminating in a silver medal after a valiant performance in the final against Jeppe, where the result was decided with the final stroke of the match. The team represented our College with courage, determination, and the spirit that makes us proud to wear the Saints badge.

We also commend our U15 team for finishing an impressive 4th place in the Boden Hockey Tournament, showing great character, resilience, and exciting promise for the future of Saints hockey.

A sincere thank you goes to our Saints community, parents, staff, students, Old Boys, and supporters for their incredible energy and encouragement throughout the weekend. Your presence on the sidelines created a special atmosphere and played a key role in the success of the event.

To all our players and coaches, thank you for your commitment, excellence, and sportsmanship. It was a privilege to watch such competitive and exciting hockey, and your efforts made it a weekend to remember for Saints hockey.

A special mention must go to Ms Stefanie van Schalkwyk, MIC: Hockey, who served as Tournament Director for both the Aitken and Boden tournaments. Managing two major events is no small task, and we congratulate her on delivering two highly successful tournaments with professionalism and dedication.

We congratulate Jeppe High School for Boys Hockey on their victories in both the Aitken and Boden tournaments and extend congratulations to all participating teams for contributing to an outstanding showcase of school hockey.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.
