A Joyful Beginning: Celebrating Our First Weeks in Grade R

February 14, 2025 | Junior Preparatory

The first five weeks of our Grade R year have been filled with excitement, laughter, and learning! From the moment our little ones stepped into our energetic Grade R space, they eagerly embraced new adventures, new routines and new skills—engaging in hands-on activities, exploring creative play, and making many new friends. The playground became a world of discovery and creative play, where sandpits, bikes, slides, swings, and jungle gyms sparked joy and curiosity. In the classroom, little hands were busy with arts and crafts, beading, fine motor skills and even delicious baking. Our dynamic and rich Grade R curriculum includes the specialist subjects of Music, Physical Education, IT and Coding, Library, and Religious Education.

A truly special highlight was our heartfelt Welcome Chapel Service, where the children rang the bell as they walked into our beautiful Chapel—a treasured rite of passage into the College—marking the beginning of their exciting school journey. The joy on their faces was a delight as each child received their very own Saints teddy bear, a treasured companion to share in the adventures ahead. A truly significant moment was when the Head Boy and Head Girl shared words of love and encouragement, inspiring our little Saints to dream big and make a ‘World of Difference’. The first few weeks have been packed with memorable events.

These busy, exciting first few weeks have been a magical start, setting the tone for a year filled with learning, friendship, endless possibilities and unforgettable memories! Grade R class of 2025, we welcome you!
