A Busy Term for Grade R

November 10, 2015 | Junior Preparatory

It is hard to believe that the nervous and excited five-year-olds that joined us in January have grown into confident and ‘mostly’ responsible little students.

They have had a very busy third term. In the classroom they have been working hard in preparation for Grade 1. A day in the life of Grade R is, however, not all work: they have sung war cries with the Matrics, shared a Dr Seuss Theme with the Grade 10 girls and read books with the Grade 1 children. They excelled at their Sports Day and learned entrepreneurial skills at their market day. They dressed up for the Springboks and as their favourite fairy-tale character.

And …..  the year is not over!  They still have their Nativity Play and final Chapel Service to look forward to.
