2017 Grade 7 Farewell

December 06, 2017 | Girls’ Preparatory | Author: Radha Govender

This function was attended by our Grade 7 parents; the Rector, Dr Nuttall; Chair of Council, Mr Nolte; Deputy Chair of Council, Mrs Langa-Royds; Head of Girls’ College, Dr James and Girls’ Prep staff.

During the service, we acknowledged the staff, parents and girls for their contribution to our school. Grace Leech and Jocelyn Dyer enlightened the guests about the TASC wheel, the legacy the Class of 2017 is leaving with us in Girls’ Prep, in commemoration of their time with us. Each Grade 7 girl shared her highlights, special moments and memories in a farewell message. Our Head, Mrs Gilardi, addressed our girls before they were congratulated on completing this phase of their education at our school. The class of 2017 each received a gift which represents the greatest act of servant leadership that ever was, the cross, which inspires us to honour God, others and ourselves.

All the guests were invited to the Bryanston Country Club for a dinner organised by our Grade 6 Class Reps, who also decorated the venue most impressively. Each Grade 7 girl received a bag containing a gift from fellow sisters in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as a copy of our 2017 school magazine.

What a grand farewell to our Grade 7 class of 2017.
