Founders' Day 2022

It was incredibly special welcoming all of our students and their families to Founders’ Day 2022, the one event in the year where the whole College gathers in commemorative celebration. The day provided a wonderful opportunity for our gathered community of students, staff, parents, alumni and friends of St Stithians to affirm and celebrate our collective character and to honour our Founders and One and All who have created the legacy of St Stithians that we cherish today.

The chosen theme for the College this year and for our Founders' Day was ‘Inspired with Purpose. Driven by Passion’ and our Rector, Celeste Gilardi focused on this theme in her Rector's Address, as did our inspiring guest speaker, the Founder of Gift of the Givers, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman who gave an outstanding address. Our Guest Speaker for Founders' Day 2022 was Dr Imtiaz Sooliman (Founder of the Gift of the Givers) Here we share Dr Sooliman's full speech as well as the Introduction by Deputy Head Girl, Sidney Benard and the vote of thanks by our Head Boy, James Lowman.

Our whole school choir and orchestra performed Iza Ngomsa by Christopher Tin at the 2022 Founders' Day celebration. The orchestral arrangement was put together by Jovan Heynsen.

Thank you to the team of people who have planned and organised Founders’ Day 2022 making it the memorable occasion that it was. A great amount of time, effort and enthusiasm went into preparing for the most prominent event in the annual calendar and it did not disappoint.

Thank you to our Saints Family for joining us back to Baytopp Field for this highlight event on our St Stithians College calendar. It was certainly a day to remember.
