Founders' Day 2021

Founders' Day 2021

Thank you for joining us for our Online Founders’ Day 2021 Celebration.  On Saturday 16 October 2021 we acknowledged this highlight date on the St Stithians calendar with an online celebration made up of pre-recorded videos that were been filmed on Campus (safely adhering to all Covid-19 protocols) and online musical performances by our combined choirs with a special focus on celebrating our Matric Class of 2021.

This online celebration offers One and All the opportunity to enjoy all of the special items that form part of our Founders' Day programme, and this year will also give our broader Saints Family the opportunity to enjoy the Unveilings, Naming Day openings and special celebrations that traditionally take place prior to our main Founders' Day event.  These videos are available on our St Stithians College YouTube Channel or you can scroll down this feed to view them all.

Every year since 1953 we have celebrated Founders’ Day at St Stithians College and 2021 should be no different.  This Online Founders’ Day Celebration marks the 68th and we thank you for being a part of this memorable online gathering of our community, together, apart.  Our theme for this year of Hope, Light and Strength runs through this year's celebration and we thank our community for all that they have done in the last year to live this ethos and to be Stronger One & All.

For optimal viewing of our Online Founders’ Day Celebration, we suggest that those who are able, view the video by streaming the YouTube video through your smart tv or laptop while viewing the programme on your mobile device.  On this page, we have purposefully placed the video below the programme so that you can fully enjoy and participate in the service with the programme to guide you.  We invite you to join us in song for our National Anthem, our College Hymn and College Song in your homes.

Unveilings, Namings and Special Celebrations - 5 June 2021

The Unveilings of significant St Stithians landmarks and new buildings takes place annually on Founders Day. The unveiling ceremonies present an opportunity to showcase improvements to the school and recognise those who have made meaningful and lasting contributions to our College.

The COVID pandemic has meant that traditional Founders' Day celebrations have not been able to take place in 2020 and 2021.  However, St Stithians College continues to grow improve and reflect on its meaningful places and spaces.  In light of this, a number of unveilings, namings and special celebrations took place on Saturday 5 June 2021 on what would have been Founders' Day.  We take pleasure in sharing the video highlights of this day with our Saints Family.
