Message from the Head of School

To the Class of 2015:

Congratulations on these outstanding academic results! Many of you set personal goals after Prelims, and I hope and trust that you have achieved them. Congratulations especially to those young men who qualified for the Summa Cum Laude award - the second most since we started the award in 2007!

As you are aware, the Boys' College bases its programmes and activities on the Seven Pillars. At this time of year, obviously the most relevant pillar is the Academic pillar, which underpins all the others. Your results in your Finals are testimony to your hard work, perseverance and motivation. However, I am sure that you will join with me in thanking your parents and teachers, both your matric teachers, and those who taught you in the younger grades, in preparing you for this final set of school assessments - and who have prepared you for future assessments.

As I look at the excellent statistics you have produced as a grade, I am conscious that statistics do not always tell the real story, and that there are many real success stories that are not reflected in the stats. I know that there are many small triumphs behind these marks, many of which will be unsung. Well done to those "unsung heroes", as Asante Nxumalo called you at the Matric Dinner.

You have brought great credit to your school in 2015, you can reflect on your successes with pride.

Yours sincerely
Mr David Knowles

Well done to all our matriculants!

As we congratulate all our matriculants, we are conscious of the deep roots of their educational success, going back to the foundation years of schooling. We express our gratitude to the teachers of the Preparatory and Junior Preparatory schools of St Stithians College, and to the teachers at other schools whose students enrolled at the Boys’ and Girls’ Colleges.

We wish all our matriculants a fulfilling first year out of school, wherever they find themselves, and we encourage them – One and All – to stay connected with St Stithians as they venture forth into this new stage of their lives.
