"St Stithians College rocks", said Dr Tim Nuttall, Rector of St Stithians College, at Skyline @ Saints hosted on 20 September 2015.  The event was a fundraiser hosted by the school and invitees included members of the school community and the wider local community; it featured performances by award-winning local band Prime Circle as well as some of the school's own award-winning bands.

The Girls' Prep marimba band, the Boys' Prep marimba band, the Boys' College All Star marimba band, and Saxes of Note (a saxophone group in the Girls' College) all performed ahead of Prime Circle. The performers had Skyline @ Saints attendees dancing, singing, and asking for more with fantastic performances showcasing their musical talents. The Boys' Prep marimba band's performance included a marimba cover of the classic "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and a popular song by local band Beatenburg.

The MC, Lethabo-Thabo (Thabs) Royds, asked each band to choose a word to describe their sound and "their vibe." The Girls' Prep marimba band chose "family", the Boys' Prep marimba band chose "fresh", the All Star marimba band chose "classic", and Saxes of Note chose "jazzy".

The All Star marimba band had last played together publicly when they were in the Boys' Prep so the concert was a great reuinion for them with most of them performing in the classic Boys' Prep red caps.

Prime Circle, who chose the word "eclectic" to describe their sound, played a long set including popular older songs like "She always gets what she wants" as well as songs off their new album. The band had the crowd singing along and begging for an encore.

There were many families with small children at the event and many of these small children were dancing the afternoon away along with their parents and older siblings.

The Pop-Up market was also there selling a range of items including jewellery, clothing and arts and crafts. Food sold at the event was from popular local food trucks Vuyo's, the Bedford Gastrotruck, Martha's Amexicano food, Balkan Burger, and the Knickerbocker Ice Cream Company.

Indeed, St Stithians College rocks and the lively performances made this clear.

Thank you for joining us and thank you to all of the people who helped make the event a success.
