Nehemiah Trust
The Nehemiah Education Ministry is a registered Non-Profit Organisation which serves one of the most impoverished communities, namely Ivory Park, a township East of Johannesburg. The community currently has a population of over 180 000 people of whom over 80% is unemployed.
It is within this context that they in collaboration with the Boys’ Preparatory provide Early Childhood education to 460 pre-schoolers and primary school education to 180 students. In addition to this they also provide every child with a hot meal every day.
Since the outbreak of COVID -19 and the lockdown these children were some of the most severely affected.
