Mama’s Lodge is about breaking that routine of horizons with buildings and houses with glass windows. It’s about being on an island that is safe and exciting, exploring all the senses that live on it. Situated on Inhaca Island, only a 5 hours’ drive away from Johannesburg and an hour from Maputo. The luxury villa contains 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and can accommodate 13 people.

We offer fully catered accommodation with a chef that will give you 5-star meals, or we offer self-catered accommodation. 

Our sleeping arrangements are as follows:

Grand Loft:

• 1 extra-large king bed
• sleeper couch that can sleep 2 kids/teenagers
• en-suite bathroom with large shower and bath

Master Bedroom 1: 

• 1 king bed, en-suite bathroom with huge shower

Master Bedroom 2: 

• 1 king bed, en-suite bathroom with huge shower

Treehouse/honeymoon suite:

• 1 queen bed, en-suite bathroom and shower that embraces the jungle surroundings

Garden suites: 

• 1 queen bed that shares an en-suite bathroom with the other room that hosts a lovely handmade, locally sourced wood triple bunk bed. Bathroom has a shower

There is also a food market with fresh fruit and veg, along with other items and 2 bakeries that sell lovely fresh local bread
Turtle & Wild Beach - day or night to see the waves and relax on a completely wild beach that usually doesn't have another soul on it for as far as you can see
Canoeing in the mangroves and in front of the lodge for sunset, sunrise or whole day
