A Joyful Morning: Grade 3 Synergy “Book in a Box” Picnic
It wasn’t an ordinary school day, it was the much-anticipated Grade 3 Synergy “Book in a Box” Picnic Morning, where imagination, storytelling, and friendship came together in the most delightful way. The air buzzed with chatter as students from Boys Prep and Girls Prep arrived carrying their proudly crafted Book in a Box creation. Each box told a story, literally. From adventurous jungles to magical kingdoms, every carefully decorated box revealed a beloved book brought vividly to life.
There were pirates sailing tiny hand-crafted ships, enchanted forests filled with glittering fairy lights, mystical creatures fighting battles and miniature characters standing bravely in their story worlds. The creativity on display reflected not only the students’ understanding of their books but also their incredible imagination.
Laughter echoed as friends gathered, sharing snacks, stories, and smiles. Teachers moved among the groups, admiring the boxes and listening to enthusiastic explanations of plots, characters, and favourite moments.
The picnic was more than just a break; it was a celebration of learning through joy. Learners confidently spoke about their books, building communication skills while inspiring each other with new reading ideas.
What made the morning truly special was the sense of connection between Boys Prep and Girls Prep.
