Alexandra Mundell competed at the World Freestyle Dance Championships in Blackpool, England at the end of June.  She placed second in the Adult Premier Champs Slowdance section and fourth in the Adult Premier Champs Solo section.  There are a number of competitive levels and the Premier Champs section is the highest level.  Only two South Africans competed at this level.

This is the fourth year that Alexandra has competed at the World Championships in Blackpool and these are her best results to date. Last year she placed third in the Premier Slowdance section (Youth) and made the semi-finals of the Premier Solo.  Alex is the current South African 16-18 Freestyle Slowdance and Solo Champion  and overall SA Champion of Champions (all ages and sexes).

In April she  won the Adult Battle of the Giants Freestyle Champion of Champions at Sun City as well as both the 16-18 Slow and Solo titles. In September she won the Supreme Dancer of the Year 16-18 Slow and Solo events as well as the overall Champion of Champions title at Carnival City. Alex is totally dedicated to dancing and she trains four to five hours a day five days a week.
