Running for a Reason: Comrades for Cancer
Friday’s Comrades for Cancer event was a wonderful day filled with energy, enthusiasm and community spirit, all in support of a truly worthy cause. It was especially heartwarming to see every child and staff member, from our youngest Grade RRR students through to Grade 2, taking part in the event and embracing the occasion with such excitement and determination.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre to support children’s cancer research, making every step taken even more meaningful.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents who assisted on the day, cheered the children on and offered constant encouragement along the route. Their support helped create a positive and uplifting atmosphere for all involved. Of course, the promise of a little chocolate along the way proved to be an excellent motivator and kept many eager feet moving towards the finish line!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this special event such a success and for helping us make a difference in the lives of children and families affected by cancer.
