Coding Goals and World Cup Fun!
Excitement was in the air this week as students took part in a World Cup-themed Coding and Robotics challenge in the Digital Learning Centre.
Using Bee-Bots and coding skills, students participated in a Robot Soccer Penalty Shootout, where they had to carefully plan, sequence and debug instructions to guide their robots towards the goal. Through teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance, students discovered that coding is very similar to soccer, success comes from planning ahead, making adjustments and working towards a goal!
Students also had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing their own World Cup-inspired soccer jerseys on the iPads. From national team colours to unique team badges and player numbers, each design reflected the excitement and spirit of the beautiful game.
The activities provided a fun and engaging way for students to develop computational thinking, creativity and digital literacy skills while celebrating the FIFA World Cup.
Well done to all our future coders, designers and soccer stars!
