Sane Nkomo and Lorna Nyathi were selected to represent the Rand Central Local Football Association (RCLFA) U18’s and Kirsten Nolan, Heather Tanner and Sarah Walker selected for the RCLFA U16 District team.

They all played in a Tournament 2 weekends ago as part of the selection process for SAFA Johannesburg. The U16 team made it through to the finals.

Kirsten Nolan and Sarah Walker were subsequently selected to represent the SAFA Johannesburg Regional U16 team at the Gauteng Regional Tournament held on Saturday.

The girls performed well winning the Tournament in a nail biting 3-0 penalty shootout. We now wait to find out whether they will be selected for the Gauteng U16 squad to play in the Inter Provincial tournament later this year.
