Number Sense Fun

Our children discovered that maths is lots of fun as they were immersed in fun number activities for the whole day.

The children accessorised their school uniforms with a special number that they had been given. There was great excitement in the playground as they made up games with numbers. In the classrooms it was all about numbers, number games and activities.

Lots of the children’s chatter and jokes tuned into the number theme:

Q: ‘Why was 6 scared of 7?’

A: “Because 7 ate 9’

We believe that maths teaches logical and critical thinking that carries over into everyday life. The number magic spilled out into specialist lessons and sport, music, library and computers all embraced number activities. We even had number treats to eat.
