On Wednesday 27 July 2016, the Boys’ Preparatory and Girls’ Preparatory enjoyed an academic cross campus initiative. Various activities throughout Grades 3 to 7 were hosted by the Junior Engineers for Africa (JEFA).

JEFA focused on engaging activities which included a basic introduction to technology, communication and engineering principles such as: structures, wheels and axles, levers, pulleys, and gears using LEGO.

During cross campus, the boys learnt how to recognise the structures and forces that influence our lives. There was also a focus on thinking and problem-solving skills. The boys explored some basic building techniques and built models from LEGO including a robotics component.

The boys and girls rotated within various sensory integration sessions where our boys completed a brain building task and loved the interactive quiz and Poi workshop.
