Fathers' Day Chapel

June 20, 2017 | Boys’ Preparatory | Author: Q. Pascoe

There is so much more to the important role of being dad in a boy’s life. Our boys’ preparatory fathers are the real deal.

Our prep fathers are central to the emotional well-being of their sons.

Our fathers are involved, affectionate, supportive and involved. Daily we observe a strong inner core resource which reflects a positive example encouraging our boys to develop a sense of well-being, good self-esteem, and authenticity. Our dads by their actions both unwittingly and consciously display our values and encourage their sons to own these values.

Our prep fathers influence relationships.

The early patterns of interaction between father and son will lay a foundation into all relationships.

We are confident our boys will model themselves after their fathers. They will look for their father’s approval in everything they do, and copy those behaviours that they recognize as successful, familiar and an extension of our educational philosophy.

Our prep fathers are embracing their changing family roles.

It is refreshing to see our fathers providing for various financial needs but also their ability to be taxi, “assistant” sports coach/sport cheerleader. Supporter of various school functions and initiatives, lunch maker, school bag collector and all round go2guy.

What a gift it was to have our boys affirm all fathers, grandfathers and other male role models as part of our Father’s Day Chapel service.

Our Barons, Choirs, Rock band, Marimba band, Grade Poets and Readers all produced a performance that made each dad proud.
