Easter Fun in Grade R

Last week as part of our Leadership programme the Grade 2 children came down to help design Easter bonnets with the Grade R children. They had a variety of material to use and worked collaboratively to come up with amazing bonnets. There was lots of fun and laughter in the different classes and sharing of ideas about how to decorate the bonnets. The Grade R’s loved having their older peers working with them as evident in the creative designs that were produced.

After all the brainstorming, designing and making of the bonnets the Grade R’s held a fashion parade of their Easter bonnets to show off their creative talents. While they were busy the Easter Bunny came to visit and left treats for them to find.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of Easter while creating positive connections between our Grade 2’s and Grade R’s.
