Girls' Prep Grade 7 Leadership Induction

On Wednesday, 24 January, we welcomed the Grade 7s into the Chapel as our new Girls’ Preparatory leaders of 2024. Here, we witnessed them pledge to Honour God, Honour Others and Honour Self as part of the St Stithians code of conduct. Our Grade 7s will lead the school guided by the principles and practices of Kurt Hahn’s Round Square IDEALS. The focus of their leadership journey will be on values, which will provide them with the opportunities to develop socially and emotionally as they grow into informed global citizens. Throughout the year, our Grade 7s will participate in all 6 committees on a rotational basis, allowing them to develop their skills in the areas of: Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Public Relations and Fellowship. In the spirit of servant leadership, the students will be required to complete 12 hours of community service throughout the year so that they may understand the power of giving their time to others and lead as examples to the younger grades. We wish the Grade 7s well as they embark on this exciting new Journey in the Girls' Preparatory. Congratulations, Grade 7s!
