Girls' Prep Rainbow Heritage Day, theme acknowledges and celebrates the diverse cultures, faiths, and peoples in our Saints community as well as the broader national community.

Pastor Lisa Moseneke a Senior Children’s Pastor at Bryanston Methodist Church shared a Tribute of Nelson Mandela with Girls’ Prep at assembly this week.

The Rector is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Melanie Drake as our next Head of School at the Girls’ Preparatory, with effect from January 2021.

The GP Grade 7 tour to Cape Town took place on 23 – 26 February 2020. The purpose of this tour was to strengthen the relationships between girls in their tutor groups and to afford our newly-inducted Grade 7 leaders the opportunity to experience making independent decision-making choices.

The Prep Schools’ combined Arts Festival is one of the highlights in our Arts and Culture calendar and this year’s offering certainly did not disappoint!

The St Stithians Night Gala is a fiercely contested event between most of the Independent Girls Schools in Johannesburg.

Two of our staff, Mrs Sylvia van Jaarsveldt (GC) and Ms Mmatshepo Modipane (GP) have been selected for the SuperGroup South African Women’s Hockey team that will be competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The Girls' Prep was invited to attend the College Tour de Maths problem solving evening on Thursday 23 January. 10 girls from grade 7 girls who all achieved silver certificates in the 2019 AMESA problem solving competition attended.

The Chapel was filled with the wonder of God as we welcomed One and All, both old and new, to the 2020 Girls’ Preparatory family. As soon as we entered the Chapel, we felt at home.

The ISASA IBL Cluster group meeting was initiated by the Girls’ Prep last year and has been a forum for productive sharing, debate and ideation and solution focused thinking as our community of schools grapples with this exciting yet challenging curriculum innovation.

Congratulations to our St Stithians College Preparatory team who won their SANESA group category at the Gauteng Johannesburg Regional Awards Evening held on 1 August 2019.

The Girls' Prep collected a total of 7202 knitted squares and 202 beanies in support of the Knit-a-Square organisation.
