informational goals
are:

To provide equitable access to local, national and global learning
resources in all formats

To carefully source, select, organize and promote learning
resources for our community, with particular emphasis on
resources appropriate to the African context
Our cultural goals are:

To promote social and cultural awareness and sensitivity
within a South African, African and global context

To support the concept that intellectual freedom and access
to information are prerequisite to effective, responsible
and democratic citizenship
Our
recreational goals are:

develop and sustain the habit and enjoyment of reading and learning
amongst our whole community

provision of appropriate recreational information, materials
and programmes
