Our Choir excels at the World Choir Games

St Stithians Girls’ College Choir, under the direction of Mrs Jaline Oelofse, performed on stage at the State Theatre Pretoria on Thursday 5 July as part of the 10th annual World Choir Games. Competing against over 16 000 participants from more than 60 countries, the girls took to the stage with confidence and panache. As they turned to sing their opening number, there was an audible gasp of delight from the audience. The Choir looked sleek and professional in their stunning costumes, and their voices combined to create the most beautiful harmonies, earning them a Level 3 Gold Diploma in the category of scenic pop / show choir. In addition, our Amazwi e-Afrika Choir participated in the competition the following week and also excelled, attaining a silver medal. Congratulations to our outstanding music department and to all the girls who performed.
