Two silver medals at the World Choir Games in Russia

Congratulations to the Duke of Cornwall Singers and the Boys’ College Choir.

The boys won two silver medals in two Champions Rounds at the World Choir Games in Russia. For the Champions round - you have to qualify, as opposed to the open competition which is open to anyone.

In the Scenic Folklore Category they were the only school choir who qualified to compete and they faced adult university and adult choirs from China, Indonesia, Spain and Russia.

They were placed fourth overall in this category and missed gold with only 3.5 points. Phenomenal achievement as the standard is definitely world class!

We are immensely proud of the boys and music staff at the Boys’ College.
