Saints Water Polo Invitational 2018 Retrospective

October 22, 2018 | Campus

St Stithians College played host to the 25th Saints Water Polo Invitational from the 19th to the 22nd October 2018. The event offered four days of great water polo action, wonderful hospitality and lots of fun..in mostly sun.  Stormy weather on Saturday interrupted some of the fixtures, but the incredible organising committee had built in some time and after a delay, games were back up and running and finished on time on Saturday, albeit a bit later than planned.

This festival of water polo boasts over 700 participants from 52 schools playing in 170 fixutres and is pegged as the largest single venue tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.  The St Stithians Aquatic Centre was certainly a hive of activity over the weekend and at the end of the day, water polo was the winner.

Thank you once again to our generous sponsors Diners Club SA, Skyworth South Africa and Incredible Connection and to our vendors, without whom this event would not take place. Gratitude to all of the participating schools, the coaches, referees, parents, supporters and organisers who make this event such a huge success.
