South African Ballet Dancer delights the reviewers

October 01, 2017 | Girls’ College

Michaela Louw recently represented South Africa in Beijing at the ICC International Ballet Competition.  There were only two South African competitors who qualified for this event.  Both of them made it through to the semi-finals with very tough competition mainly from China, Japan, USA and the UK.

Michaela recently danced in a Ballet Gala arranged by Dirk Badenhorst.  A journalist who attended the Gala had the following to say about her: "With a special mention of Louw who was beautiful performing the repertoire from La Fille mal Gardée."

Veronica and Michaela performed in the Artscape ballet gala at the Mosaiek Teatro in September and also in "When ballet meets jazz" at the Market Theatre.
