Grade R Family Chapel 2018

February 09, 2018 | Junior Preparatory

The morning was filled with excitement as the Grade R children sat outside the Chapel waiting for the moment when they could enter for their Welcome Service.

As per Junior Prep tradition, each class led in and the teacher rang the bell, symbolising the beginning of the children’s journey through the College.

As they walked in, with quiet confidence in their step (although some were a bit shy), it appeared as if they were aware of the importance of the journey they were embarking on.

Reverend Janet officiated the service and we were entertained by the Grade 2 Choir.

The children were happy that their parents were able to share this special moment with them.

As in the words of the College song, may the children never forget “That here our ship once anchored and here its course was set.”
