2017 Taste Extravaganza

Don't miss the 2017 Taste Extravaganza featuring amazing food and drink vendors. You will be able to sample delicious wine from 20 wine farms, and taste coffee, whiskey and gin as well as purchase the items you really enjoy. But drinks are not the only flavours your taste buds will enjoy: sample nougat, chocolate, cheeses, olives, cakes, speciality meats, and so much more.

Last year the Taste Extravaganza was a success: we welcomed a number of food-lovers to a hall filled with great wine farms, tasty food vendors, as well as specialised food and drink products (think nougat, yummy pastes, olive oils, artisan chocolate, specialised coffee, and more).

All samples and tasters from wine farms and food vendors are included in the ticket price.

This year Meridian Wines will be bringing four pop-up bars which showcase 6 of their best red wines, 6 of their best white wines, 6 of their best bubbles, and 6 rare and remarkable wines. 

There will be prepackaged wine boxes on sale on the night:

• A holiday box to kick start the school holidays containing 6 well-known wines for the price of R330
• A snob box (the name says it all) containing 6 wines for the price of R1 750

This year's wines and wine farms/estates are Buitenverwagting wine farm, Cape of Good Hope wine, Cape Point Vineyards, Cirrus wine, De Grendel wine farm, DeWetshof Estate, Ken Forrester Vineyards, Klein Constantia wine estate, L'Ormarins wine estate, Marvelous Wines, Mulderbosch Vineyards, Muratie Wine Estate, Paul Cluver Wines, Pierre Jourdan, Simonsig Wine Estate, Spice Route Winery, Stellenbosch Reserve, Strandveld Vineyards, Tokara wines, and Yardstick Wines.

This year's food and gin vendors are Chrisna’s Olives, Flat White, Flowstone Gin, Jackson’s Real Food Market, Kelly Jayne's Cake Boutique, Nova Choc-Oh-Late, The Local and Company, and Wedgewood nougat.

All proceeds from the night go towards the Girls' Sports Pavilion.
