The 2016 graduating interns with Dr Tim Nuttall, Rector of St Stithians College, Dr Themba Mthethwa, Head of the Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy, and Mrs Thobeka Mngambi, the Thandulwazi Teacher-Intern Programme Director

On Friday 2 December 2016, the Thandulwazi intern-teachers  celebrated their year on the programme, and the successes they have enjoyed, at an end of year party. At the party the intern-teachers shared testimonies of growth, stories of deep friendships that were formed and memories made. The graduating interns also shared words of encouragement and advice with the remaining interns. Dr Tim Nuttall, the Rector,  closed the meaningful afternoon by giving words of encouragement to all present.

Four intern-teachers were awarded prizes for being the most professional interns in 2016. Below are images of the intern-teachers  receiving their awards.

12 interns graduated from the Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy in 2016, 11 of whom have secured teaching positions in South Africa for 2017. We are extremely proud of each one of them and we know that they will be an asset to the teaching profession.

We wish them well in all their future endeavours.
