| The Boys Prep is, as part of St.
Stithians College. is blessed with facilities built on the vision and actions of
over half a century of investment in line with the original founders. In the
academic arena we have, aside from the normal classrooms, two fully equipped
Computer Labs, a modern technology centre, a wonderful library as to other
College facilities such as science laboratories and lecture theatres. Each
classroom has a network attached PC and the Library has a hub of computers too.
We already make use of data projectors as teaching aids in three locations
and are presently assessing the use of tablets and response systems in
conjunction with the data projectors as we identify the need to use technology
to further enhance the teaching and learning within the school.
The facilities available for the active participation in a wide range of
sports too is a wonderful blessing of which we are proud. The sports fields
allow for participation in cricket, hockey, football, rugby, athletics,
cross-country running, tennis, squash, swimming and water polo. The boys are
encouraged to take part in at least one sport, many are involved in more than
one. The recent addition of lights has turned the Boy's Prep sports field into
a hive of activity and is the home to one of the largest football clubs in the
region thanks to the Stithian Association's efforts. From a cultural
perspective, aside from the normal art and drama classrooms, we share the campus
music centre and have exceptionally well coached marimba bands as well as a
whole range of music instruments taught.
